Aloha Hustlers! Today started off hot. Within 10 minutes of turning on the app, I had a ride request. It was for an XL to the airport. I picked her up and dropped her off and then went to the airport waiting lot. Since the new "Upfront" pricing the Hawaii market has now, the amount of drivers waiting at the airpot have doubled. I would say it is almost a bad idea to wait at the airport for rides. I stopped in to take a potty break and then left the waiting lot. Heading back west, I got another ride request with Lyft. I was basically back to back rides on Lyft until about 5pm. Then I turned on Uber and got a few rides back to back, then both apps went quiet. I had a few more rides here and there and finally deiced to head back west around 8:45. Both Uber and Lyft have a "Head to Destination" feature. If I actually want to go somewhere, I will only turn on Lyft and head toward that destination. I do get less rides, but the Lyft app does take my "Head to Destination" pretty seriously which I appreciate. It is worth mentioning that I did forget to bring my lunch today so I had to stop and get lunch and dinner. If you're looking for a deal, Subway is running a special here in Hawaii. A 6" sub, chips, and a drink for $7.99. In a world of $18.00 plate lunches, a $7.99 sandwich meal is a steal. Thanks for following along! Happy Hustling!
